We can trace time from Native Americans to the Incas, the Spanish, and now to the modern citizens of Cusco. In addition to its historical importance, Cusco is an impressive city with a lively culture and highly acclaimed cuisine on the world stage.

We will pick you up from your hotel at 1:00 p.m. to do the City Tour in the city of Cusco. We will start the tour at the most important temple of the Inca Empire, the Temple of the Sun called Qoricancha. Here we can observe impressive and well-preserved architecture, and within this place you can see small temples that are dedicated to the moon, rainbows, stars, lightning, thunder and more. Currently, the Church of Santo Domingo is built on the Inca temple.

Then, we will go to a very important archaeological center called Sacsayhuaman where you can appreciate Inca walls built with very large stones that weigh hundreds of tons. Although the site was religious, the Spanish believed it to be a military fortress because of its location and the way it was built. Then, we will visit Qenqo, an Inca site that was built on a natural rock formation and was used to represent the Andean constellations and the concept of the three worlds that are represented by the sacred animals: the condor, the puma, and the snake.

Then we will go to Puka Pukara, which was a hostel for travelers who came to Cusco from the Amazon. It was also a military center that protected a nearby temple called Tambomachay. The last place we will visit will be Tambomachay, known as the Temple of Water, where the Incas practiced their religious customs related to water to rejuvenate the earth. This place is traditionally known as the fountain of eternal youth. Then, we will return to the city and drop you off at your hotel around 6:00 PM.
